I recently installed Ubuntu on our laptop, it dual boots with XP (sorry, haven't quite ditched Windows yet...). It looks good and functions well. I tried Suse but could never get onto my wireless network, but with a patch provided in a forum Ubuntu worked more-or-less straight away. Ubuntu is the best Linux offering I have seen yet... for the mass population anyway.
Hope you're doing well Ben!
